Degenerative spine disease/Focal mass lesion needs a biopsy.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.
I have gone through your MRI SPINE report which mentions of Disc bulges at L4-L5 and L5-S1 levels with mild thecal indentation. It also mentions of focal mass lesion at the level of L5 in the posterior aspect. These spinal changes should respond well to antineuralgic medicines(like pregabalin,amitriptyline,gabapentin),calcium/vitamin D and methylcobalamin supplementation. At the same time, spinal exercises as advised by the physical therapist along with the proper posture training is crucial for improvement.
Further,
I could see the pics of skin overgrowth in your conversation with other specialists on the forum. It is pretty clear after MRI report, while keeping in mind the dermatologist's opinion, that lesion needs to be biopsied to get the actual pathological nature of the lesion.
However, I suggest you to please upload the MRI CD/images on google drive and share the link here,so that I can have a look at the lesion and make an approach towards the possible differentials.
Besides,it appears less likely that the spine MRI changes are related with this focal mass, which I shall further comment better upon, after having a look at your MRI.
Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
