What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

Question: Hi,
Three months back I have injured my right knee while playing football. The MRI report said "globular signals are seen in posterior horn of medical meniscus with no articular surface intersection". I have checked with orthopedician, he said there will be no surgery required. But it`s been three months now and there is no significant improvement I have observed. Generally, what is the recovery time for this type of injury

Brief Answer:
Recovery time 4 to 6 months
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Thanks for the query.
It appears you have degenerative changes in the meniscus cartilage.
You need to do Physiotherapy and ultrasound treatment for 4 to 6 months.
Recovery time can be 4 to 6 months if you are careful. Avoid squatting, cross leg sitting, climbing stairs and kneeling.
If no relief after that you can get arthroscopic surgery done to remove the damaged portion of the meniscus cartilage.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
