What Does This MRI Report Of Brain Indicate?
Question: I had an MRI of my brain due to some severe episodes of vertigo, increased headaches, numbness of my face, it has been over 2 weeks since this was done and my doctor still has not called. I called and got a copy of the report myself. Under impression it says: Right frontal meningioma as incidental finding measuring 6 X 13 mm. No hemorrhage, territorial ischemia or neoplasia. Is this something I need to be worried about?
Brief Answer:
Not to be worried to much
Detailed Answer:
Dear
I am sorry for the symptoms you are suffering
Unfortunately you have been diagnosed with a benign tumor, it isn't related with your symptoms
You need treatment for the symptoms you are suffering such as betahistine
You should consult a neurosurgeon for the accidental meningeoma but you can be calm
You will schedule another brain MRI after one year to see the meningeoma growth but as I mentioned it is a benign tumor
You have no reason to worry too much
Hope I have clarified all your doubts
Don't hesitate to contact me for further questions
Best regards
