What Does This X-ray Report For Pain In The Leg And Ankle Indicate?

I am XXXXXXX I am a housewife in XXXXXXX On16th Feb, I started to have pain in my left leg ankle and there was some swelling as well. Within two days swelling deteriorated.
We consulted with a doc in Appolo, He did X-ray of ankle, there was no fracture. He said it's a grade B ligament tear, He gave some medicines, a gel and ankle binder to use and told to rest as well to use ice-pack. He changed the medicine after 5 days since there was no improvement in swelling. But due to those medicines I started to have stomachache, since I am having constipation for last 1 year.
I went to another doc for it, since it became worse and no improvement after 15 days, He said It's due to Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction and also due to flat foot and He got it plastered(POP) and gave medicines.
I had to go to XXXXXXX I got the plaster removed there after 20 days, The doc in XXXXXXX gave medicines, gave ice pack and suggested physiotherapy.
I am doing exercises today as well for last 2 months and using ice pack and still this problem is not gone.
Sometimes this swelling is little bit less, but If I stand for long time(like continuous 2 hours) I have pain in ankle and swelling increases as well.
Please let me know what can be done to heal it.
Physiotherapy and limb elevation will help.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen the X-rays and reports attached. There is no bo0ne injury. The persistent swelling and pain is due to a soft tissue injury that needs a proper rest- non weight bearing on the foot for proper healing. Lack o proper rest can cause a persistent pain and swelling in the area. Now that two months have passed the only thing that can help you is a hot compress and regular physiotherapy. The swelling will go down as the tissues heal completely. Keep the foot elevated on two pillows at night while resting.
I hope this answers your query.

Thanks for quick reply and your suggestions.
Few questions:
1. Approx How much time it takes to heal such injury.
2. When you say proper rest, Does that mean no walking, I am anyway not going out/running, I am just doing daily chores, and cooking, etc, No heavy lifting. Should I Stop those as well?
3. I was told to do cold compress(using ice cubes) on swelling, Should I shift to hot compress as per your suggestion.
4. How many time should I be doing foot exercise and compress per day?
5. I was taking
Supracal (1 per day) (http://www.medplusmart.com/product/SUPRACAL-TABLET/SUPR0004)
Artilage (1 per day) (http://www.medplusmart.com/product/ARTILAGE-TABLET/ARTI0011)
D-Shine (1 per month) (http://www.medplusmart.com/product/D-SHINE-60K-TABLET/D_SH0002)
