What Does This Blood Report Indicate?
Question: I got a blood test done from Lal Path Labs as part of General Check up. In the test, C-Reactive protein (CRP, Serum) is 8.10. Can please let me know what does it mean and future course of action for me?
Brief Answer:
It suggests some inflammation
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
CRP is only mildly raised. I would be worried if it was above 30. It only suggests some inflammation somewhere in body.
If lipid profile and other cardiovascular parameters were also significantly raised then it would have suggested high risk for cardiovascular disease like coronary heart disease, stroke, etc.
In my opinion its a normal report. All you need to do at this point is to have a healthy lifestyle. In diet you can avoid fatty foods like milk products (cheese, butter, ghee, sweets, ice cream, etc). Regular exercise for atleast 30 min a day is also good.
Hope it helps.

Brief Answer:
Vitamin D deficiency
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Yes vitamin D levels are low. You can take vitamin D supplement as following:
Dvion pearl 1000 IU once a week for 2 months. And recheck its value after 3 months. Since its a fat soluble vitamin, it can easily accumulate in body. Therefore please watch out for its toxicity like muscle spasm, nausea, vomiting.
Hope it helps.
