What Does This Coronary Angiography Report Indicate?
Question: Hi- A few weeks ago I had a Heart Catheterization due to chest pain I was having. Thank Goodness there were NO BLOCKAGES, but the surgeon wrote something that puzzles me. A chart was drawn showing my Heart and beside the drawing of my Heart was some writing that said " Mild Intimal Disease". I tried looking it on my computer but found nothing that would explain what it is. Can you tell me what it means?
Brief Answer:
atherosclerosis
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Its good news that there was no obstruction or blockage . MIld intimal disease refers to atherosclerosis in in the vessels. Intima and media are the inner layers of a blood vessel and when there is atherosclerosis found there, it thickens abit doctors mention it as intimal disease.
I hope it helps. take good care of yourself andd ont forget to close the discussion please.
