What Does This Echocardiography Report Indicate?
Question: Hello, I am a 36yr old active male. I run several miles a day and weight train. My BP usually runs a tad high and I could probably lose alittle weight. I have been having PVCs for several years and recently had an echo/stress echo done and my PCP told me everything was fine. After viewing the results online I see some mild abnormalities noted. Can you verify these are nothing significant to worry about? thanks
IMPRESSION:
Normal left ventricular systolic function with an estimated ejection fraction 60%. Mild diastolic dysfunction. Increased left ventricle cavity size. Mild Biatrial Enlargement. No Hemodynamically significant pathology.

Brief Answer:
All clear, slight adjustments in diet lifestyle needed
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Your echocardiography report is fine and nothing to worry about. Slight dilated chamber and mild diastolic dysfunction will resolve too once your blood pressure and weight is controlled. So nutshell, nothing is alarming here, you just have to adapt more healthy diet and lifestyle and measures to reduce weight and keep BMI below 25 and every thing will be good as new. For now no worrisome pathology in heart .
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
