What Does This Follicular Study Report Indicate?
Question: Hi doctor i underwent follicular study on 27.07.2015 and Right Ovary had a follicle measured 25x18 , the same day doctor gave me hcg injection, on 29.07.2015 took ultrasound again and it showed follicle as 19x21, doctor asked me to come on 31.07.2015 for another ultrasound, is there any chance of pregnancy this cycle.

The follicle that was 25 X 18- it is an overgrown follicle and is not likely to cause an ovulation. The second follicle 19 X 21 is a mature follicle and is likely to rupture in a day or two. The chances of conception are there if it ruptures to release an egg and you have a well timed intercourse.

doctor i already had medical abortion last November since fetus showed no heart beat in 12 weeks. I am very much scared if i ll conceive again without any problem. My Gyno took blood test for hormone test and all hormones found to be normal. As u have mentioned that follicle is over grown will one more follicle that is there will have egg or it ll be an empty follicle

Having a missed abortion at 12 weeks may or may not affect the future pregnancy. If all your hormonal tests are normal there is no need to worry. The other follicle contains a healthy egg or not can be detected only after the follicle ruptures well in time. It is difficult to predict only based on the ultrasound scan. Only the time will tell.

Dear doctor, i went for follicular study yesterday (31.07.2015) and it showed as ruptured, endometrium thickness measured as 9.0. Is there chances to conceive tis cycle. as per doctor advice we had intercourse yesterday. doctor prescribed me duphatson 10 mg. may I know wat for tis tablet given.
