Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
You have a big knee joint effusion with partial ligament tear. The ligament tear can heal with rest. The joint effusion may need to be drained by your orthopedician if there is a visible knee swelling.
Right now you need to use a knee brace and provide complete rest to your knee. Avoid weight bearing on the knee. Avoid driving or even walking for at least 6 weeks.
Right now you cam do only passive non weight bearing exercises to maintain a good blood circulation in the area under the guidance of a physiotherapist.
Taking a calcium and protein rich diet will help.
Compress your knee. Use an elastic bandage, straps, or sleeves on your knee to control swelling.
*Elevate your knee on a pillow when you're sitting or lying down.
*Wear a knee brace to stabilize the knee and protect it from further injury.
*Take anti-inflammatory painkillers. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), like Motrin to reduce pain and swelling.
Surgical repair may be needed if it does not heal with rest.
I hope this answers your query.

Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If there is not too much of pain then you can continue with push ups and stretches. Do reduce any exercises that cause any sudden pain in the knee.
Hope my answer is helpful.
