Question: -I had my gallbladder out last XXXXXXX
-I went to my MD 5/5/17 with a problem with my foot. With this I was also feeling fatigued, with chills and a slight fever earlier in the week.
-He thought I had jondis. He tested liver enzymes, lupus, uric acid along with other things.
-Liver enzymes were 4.1 (don't remember name of enzyme something with beli).
-Uric acid was 7.6. He believes I have gout.
-Lupus negative.
-Was called back to Dr on 5/8 to test for hepatitis. and redo liver enzyme test.
-Hepatitis negative.
-Liver enzyme was down to 2.0.
-Went back to MD today (5/22) for test results and questions.
-He thought the jondis was caused by a bile duct obstruction.
-When I had my gallbladder removed I had a stone in the duct. On a Friday I had an ERCP to remove stone see page 5 of attached report. I did not have my gallbladder removed until the following Monday.
Questions:
1. Could my symptoms been caused by and old stone.
2. What can cause gallstones with the gallbladder removed. ( I don't eat fatty foods)
3. Was prescribed allopurinol and colchicine for gout, is there any potential problem with these meds if I have anther bile duct obstruction.

Brief Answer:
Details are as below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I am a Gastroenterologist and would be answering your query.
Firstly Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic for you query.
As per your query answers are-
1)Definitely yes an impacted stone in common bile duct can cause symptoms of obstructive jaundice.Latest trials have shown that-CBD stones usually originate in the gallbladder and then they migrate . Therefore subsequent cholecystectomy would be helpful to prevent CBD stone recurrence. However recurrence of CBD stone is still observed in a considerable number of patients following cholecystectomy. Bile duct stones that are demonstrated 6 months or more after endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) are considered to be recurrent.
The stone formation after cholecystectomy is not because of diet rather is because of anatomic structure of your body.

The recurrence rate of CBD stone is reported to range from 4% to 24%.The risk factors for recurrent bile duct stones after EST were previously suggested to be a dilated common bile duct, GB stone, periampullary diverticulum, biliary stricture, angulation of the CBD, previous open cholecystectomy, and lithotripsy.

Various trials have shown that in patients who underwent cholecystectomy, the risk factors for recurrent stones were the dilated CBD and periampullary diverticulum.

No you can take allopurinol and colchicine. However colchicine is very old salt associated with a number of side effects.Ask your doctor to shift you on febuxostat.Febuxostat is a prescription medicine called a xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitor that is used to lower blood uric acid levels in adults with gout.

It is far better then colchicine.

Hope i answered your query well.
