Brief Answer:
Can be due to non alcoholic fatty liver.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your son's problem can be due to non alcoholic fatty liver. You can do an ultrasound abdomen to rule out this. Blood test to rule out hepatitis B also should be done.
Non alcoholic fatty liver is reversible. By dieting and proper exercise you can change it back to normal. Taking Vitamin E , vitamin D and vitamin C supplements is helpful also. Sun exposure is recommended as he is having low vitamin D.
Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

Bilirubin test was done and it's value is 0.9
UCG abdomen shows Mild Hepatomegaly. Rest everything is normal.
Would like to know if higher SGOT and SGPT values are because of above?
Request you to provide your opinion.

Yes , it can be due to fatty liver.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.
Thank you for your follow up query.
As your USG abdomen shows mild hepatomegaly elevation of SGPT and SGOT is most likely due to that. Total bilirubin of 0.9 is normal.
If you upload the full ultrasound report it will be more helpful.
Non alcoholic fatty liver is common nowadays due to high fatty food intake and low physical activity. It is usually found when checking liver enzymes or ultrasound.
So a change in diet and daily exercises is recommended to correct this. Include citrus fruits and greens in diet. Take more plain water. Avoid excess sweets , junk foods, cakes, fried and fatty foods. Taking vitamin E , C and D supplements is also advised.
