What Does This Stress Test Report Indicate?
I was born with single ventricle and had PA banding done at the age of 3. I had no other surgeries required as per doctors suggestion. I have remained asymptomatic till today and have my regular follow ups. I am on Listril and Ecosprine from past 15 years and my doctor suggested to continue the same.
I have noticed from the recent past that My average heart rate is around 85 beats per minute. While working in the office it is usually around 65 to 75. However i notice that when i am at home or outside the office my heart rate increases to 85 and sometimes 90. Is this normal or anything to worry about?
Also would taking Omega fish oil tablets help keep my heart rate normal? And can i take these tablets with the current medications?
I have attached my last XXXXXXX report (2003) and latest stress test report.
This much variation of heart rate is normal
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have seen the reports. Don't get overly worried as this much variation of heart rate is absolutely normal.
Even in person with normal heart anatomy there is variation in heart rate depending on the activity.
If you remember I have mentioned in my earlier answer that you can live a normal life unless some complication develops.
If you notice any abnormal increase in heart rate associated with sweating, uneasiness, chest pain or breathlessness then consult your treating cardiologist immediately.
Again I would tell that maintain a healthy life style with healthy diet.
You can take omega 3 fatty acid fish oil tablet as it helps in increasing good lipid and decreases bad lipid. As this does not have any significant interaction with current medications it can be safely taken.
Wishing you a healthy life.
