What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Question:
I'am 12w5d pregnant and had an abdominal ultrasound this morning which showed a latge abdominal mass in the baby, my doctor doesnt know what is is exactly yet and will get back to me after the weekend, do you have any information about what this may be? I have attached a few pictures of the ultrasound

So,kindly upload the ultrasound scan images with ultrasound report from radiologist or gynecologist.

She said it is something like a hernia and tha i need genetic counseling

It may be hernia or some cystic mass or intestinal mass but it can only be assessed during ultrasound scan and during scanning,the radiologist/sonologist will be able to tell you the exact diagnosis of the abdominal mass of the fetus.
Higher frequency ultrasound or 4D scan is also available,you may see radiologist who will know about it and better guide you regarding the exact diagnosis of the mass.
Whether you will need genetic counseling or not,will depend upon the nature of the underlying cause of that mass.
