Question: my sister in law is pregnant and her 8th month just sterted few days back. in her sonography report it is found that single loop of chord is on foetus's neck. kindly suggest what to do in this case and is it a matter of worry??
Brief Answer:
Not problematic till delivery
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Single loop of cord around fetal neck is not problematic during antenatal period.
However, during delivery, this loop can lead to difficulty in delivery of the baby and hence the chances of caesarean section are increased.
There is nothing to worry about it till delivery.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
