What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Question: hi
i just had a ultrasound stating that im 5 1/2 weeks pregnant. when i got the report back it stated that the gestational sac was 13mm but no visible signs on yolk sac and fetal pole. does this mean i am actually not
pregnant. i do meet with my doctor on Saturday but need some answers now. report also stated that i need another blood test and ultrasound in 2 weeks. help......

This is very early ultrasound scan. It is not always possible to visualize fetal pole and yolk sac on the Ultrasound scan this early.
Don't lose hope. Wait for 2 weeks and repeat ultrasound scan. Hopefully even heartbeat would appear by then.

I went to doctor today and he said that according to my last period I should be 8weeks not 5 1/2 weeks. He said either my period is wrong or the pregnancy isn't progressing. Surely it can't be dated from my last period, I wouldn't have fallen pregnant then... Advice???
