What Does This Ultrasound Report Of Uterus Indicate?

Report
The uterus measures 9.5 x 3.3 x 5.4cm and the endometrium measures 7mm in
thickness. The right ovary has a volume of 16cc and the left lobe ovary a
volume of 2cc. There is a 33mm in diameter cyst containing echogenic fluid
arising from the right ovary, the appearance of which would be in keeping
with haemorrhage into a simple cyst or alternatively endometriosis.
Benign right ovarian cyst likely.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Your uterus is normal in size and appearance with a normal thickness of endometrium. The right ovary is enlarged with a smooth walled simple cyst of size 33mm. It can be a hemorrhagic cyst or endometriotic cyst.
This is likely to be a benign cyst which usually does not need any treatment if it is not painful. You can wait and watch and get a repeat ultrasound scan done after 3 months to see any change in the size of the cyst. In case it is gradually increasing in size or is painful then further investigations may be needed.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Pain killers will help.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If it painful then mild pain killers will help you. If the pain aggravates during periods then an endometriotic cyst is likely that may need a laparoscopic removal.
Hope my answer is helpful.
