What Does Ultrasound Showing Bulky Uterus Indicate?

Question: My mother recently had acute abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhoea. She was admitted to hospital. The hospital did an ultrasound and blood tests. The ultrasound showed that the pancreas was bulky and heterogeneous but also that it was partly obscured by bowel gas. She was given nill by mouth for 3 days and they did another blood test and said that her blood test were getting back to normal and she was discharged. The hospital suggested that she go to her GP and have a CT scan done. They suggested that she had pancreatitis. She does not have any pain now, she is able to eat and is not vomiting or has diarrhoea.
I am worried that this could be something more serious than pancreatitis. Could this be pancreatic cancer?
Kind regards,

Brief Answer:
Need evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Since your mothers ultrasound is showing a bulky pancreas I would advise her to do a CT scan of whole abdomen and if any lesion is found in the pancreas in the scan then biopsy must be done to rule out malignancy.
As she had symptoms of abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhoea I would also advise her to do blood test for CA 19-9 to rule out pancreatic cancer.
