What Does Vibration Sensation In The Scrotum Indicate?

This week I went to my Dr complaining about tenderness in my right testicle and presumably the tube that carries seminal fluid. He put me on doxycycline which I am on my second day.
The mild discomfort is abating but I am having some very strange vibrating sensations in my scrotum. Kind of like a cell phone buzz. At times its non stop at time its just intermittent. I believe nsaids have a positive effect on this maddening spasm or buzz.
With that said everything is normal, stool frequency, urination, erection and ejaculation.
My Dr checked my scrotum and prostate and said there was nothing remarkable.
Could you offer insight into this?
Also, I do have sciatica and quite possibly a herniated sacral/lumbar disc.
Thank you
as explained in details.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
The vibrating sensation in the scrotum may be due to irritated nerves and/or muscles due to inflammation.
The best investigations are :
Clinical examination - that your Doctor has done (good to know that he'd already mentioned as nothing remearkable there).
Ultrasonography and color doppler of scrotum
Ultrasonography of the whole abdomen, particularly for uro-genital system.
Urine: Routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity.
Tests of blood (Hemogram, CRP etc.)
This gives the best diagnosis and plan for treatment.
Please get an MRI of the lower spine to confirm or rule out the problem you mentioned about sciatica.
I hope, this answers your query.
Feel free to ask further
Regards
