Detailed Answer:
Hello G XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing to HCM
There are two basic categories of HIV test – 4th generation and 3rd generation.
CMIA Antibody test belongs to 4th generation.
It tests HIV antibodies and P24 antigens. Its window period is 11 days to
1 month.
This is highly accurate test, although false positives are possible (but
any positive diagnosis is double checked).
Where as 3rd generation test only detect HIV antibodies. Its window period is 3 months.
Presently,4th generation test is preferred over 3rd generation test.
Hope I have answered your question.
Further queries are most welcome.

ARS is flu like syndrome and it is generally associated with fever.
Isolated joint pain is unlikely due to ARS.It must be due to other reasons and it is nonspecific finding.
