I have read through your query in detail.
I suppose your ultrasound report shows the presence of a hernia in the muscle layer of anterior abdominal wall though I might be wrong. I would like you to send me a copy of the ultrasound report for complete interpretation. The anterior abdominal wall at times develops weakness and the bowel loops herniate through the opening. The opening is protected by the skin layer. The measurement of neck of the hernia is very important and such hernias are often repaired by putting a mesh at the site of herniation should the hernial opening be large.
