What Is An IgG Test?
Question: "to be answered by dr XXXXXXX Abraham" my doc got the igg portion of test back and it was positive. what is igg? i looked it up some on internet. i thought i was being tested for herpes but he said ne kind of blister or anything would have to be scraped by obgyn but he went ahead and called me in some valtrex but he dont think that ita necessary so im just confused by it all

Ig G is a non specific test, it might mean that you were having the virus in the past, but not now.
But then again, it might mean nothing.
And yes, if you have an actual blister or sore, that needs to be scraped by the OB - GYN to have a definite report on whether you are already having herpes.
When will you get the rest of the report ?
No point taking the Valtrex until you have the whole report in hand.

ughh tonighy its not to to bad but everything is still going on... still a lil red in that area where that blister was it went down and then it like scabbed no puss or nething like that came out of it that I knew of it wasn't that big but its like ita still there but flat like it is scaring or something

ok im at work right now I work the grave yard shift but i will definitely go over all of this with dr XXXXXXX tomorrow i just really hope all this will be over soon now he did call me in the valtrex i will go ahead and pick it up but should i not start taking it and wait or see what she says
