What Is Meant By C4-C5 Left Eccentric Disc Osteophyte Complex And Mild Dorsal Disc Bulge?

Question: C4-C5 left eccentric disc osteophyte complex and mild dorsal disc bulge with some effacement of the anterior CSF space. Severe left neuroforaminal narrowing is noted. Grade 1 posterior listhesis of 3mm. Mild right anterior process hypertrophy. What does this mean? Is it a problem?
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The findings of MRI of spine that you have mentioned are all suggestive of age related degenerative changes of the spine.
If the disc bulge and neuroforaminal narrowing is compressing the nerve roots, then pain and other symptoms appear.
The treatment depends on the severity of symptoms and the extent of physiotherapy exercises are advised to retard the progression of these degenerative changes.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Please accept my answer in case you do not have further queries.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
