Hi am jyotsana 46 years old,my height is 4 8 ,my weight is 63kg and my pain is 24 hours.I cant walk or stand for more than 5 minutes.so finally I went for a MRI scan. My report says:L4-L5 disc shows diffuse posterior herniation and with significant facets joint arthropathy(causing mild anterior listhesis) narrowing neural forming and abutting exiting nerve roots. My doctor consulting for a surgery.what I can do? please reply.
It seems like your MRI report indicates a herniation of the L4-L5 disc in your spine, along with facet joint arthropathy and narrowing of the neural foramina (openings where the spinal nerves exit the spinal column). These conditions can lead to compression and irritation of the nerve roots in that area, which may be causing your pain and difficulty in walking or standing for extended periods.
Since your doctor is recommending surgery, it suggests that the severity of your condition might require medical intervention. Surgery is often considered when conservative treatments, such as medication, physical therapy, or injections, have not provided sufficient relief.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
