Brief Answer:
treatment choice depends on severity/extent of psoriasis

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr.kakkar(dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.

Treatment for psoriasis is tailored according to the severity/extent of skin involvement. While topical remedies like steroid ointments, topical vitamin D analogues like calcipotriene, coal tar and anthralin alone may be effective for very limited skin involvement with psoriasis, systemic agents like phototherapy, oral immunosuppressives (methotrexate, cyclosporin), oral retinoids and biologicals (injectables) are preferred for more widespread skin involvement with psoriasis. Moreover choice of treatment may change over a period of time depending on how the disease behaves and its response to treatment. So there is no recommended single therapy for all forms of psoriasis.
