Posted on Wed, 3 Sep 2014
Question: Since may I had enlarged lymph nodes they don't hurt at all. I had bv and I have hemerriods. Recently I hat a cat scan done and it came back normal. I was told I had a cyst by one doctor and I was told that I had swollen lymph nodes by another. I also did an abnormalities blood test. Also came back normal. Im also have a tightness in my leg same side as the problem . I'm on an amoxicillin for a week. I have no abnormal discharge. Just discomfort from the hemerriods. Which have been checked twice in the pass two weeks by the doctor and she said to eat better. Taking the amoxicillin has made me feel like I was gonna throw up for the first two days. Now I'm fine. The lymph nodes or cyst hadn't gotten any smaller or bigger since I got on the medicine. It seems to bother my leg when I bother the lymph nodes or cyst. I'm confused don't know what to do please help

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound will confirm.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for posting in health care magic.
It looks like enlarge lymph nodes rather than cyst . Ultrasound of the affected area will confirm the diagnosis. The purpose of ultrasound is to differentiate solid and cystic lesions.
I prescribe Antibiotics like Cefuroxime and Clindamycin and anti inflammatory tablets to my patients with similar complaints, before sending for Ultrasound.
If haemorrhoids are bleeding and painful, Surgery has to be done.
Nothing to worry.
If you have any queries, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards

Close to the hemerriods I have a small cut After movement it may burn for about a minute or two. Should I be concerned? Doctor says the hemerriods itself aren't inflamed. But I don't think she seen the small cut. I have no bleeding in the anal area.

Brief Answer:
It is fissure in ano

Detailed Answer:
Hi
The cut in that region is fissure in a no.
Whenever hard stools are touched, it will be painful.
It is not related to Haemorrhoids.
The stools should be soft. You should take plenty of liquids.high fiber diet has to be taken.
You can apply local 2% lignocaine jelly.
If there is no response, you should go for surgery.
Wish you good health.
