Brief Answer: urinary tract infection Detailed Answer: Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic It is possible that you have a urinary tract infection. This is an infection involving some aspect of the urinary tract which consists of the bladder, ureter, kidneys or urethra. Most commonly it is the bladder that is involved. Urinary tract infections present with different symptoms, persons may present with some or all of the following : frequency ( passing urine often), discomfort on urination, fever, abdominal pain, blood in the urine (called hematuria), change in the colour or odour of urine Your doctor would confirm this by testing urine in his or her office and sending a sample to the lab for further analysis. The lab would be able to find the exact bacteria present and also which antibiotics it would best respond to. Treatment (1)the use of copious fluids to flush the urinary tract (2)antibiotics (3)cranberry juice can sometimes be helpful as well I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
