What Is The Difference Between Dysplastic And Hyperplastic Polyps?
Question: what is the difference between dysplastic and hyperplastic polyps carpeting the entire stomache? I have FAP, AND SCLERODERMA AND HAVE HAD A TOTAL PROCTOCOLECTOMY.

Hyperplastic polyps are totally benign condition(non-cancerous) and have no significance.It is proliferation of normal cells.
Whereas dysplasia means abnormality in development i,e anomaly of growth and differentiation.Dysplastic polyps means its appearance is like neoplasia(cancer).Dysplasia may be mild,moderate or severe.
