Is It Normal To Have Milky Whitish Stool After Proctocolectomy?

My boyfriend had a proctocolectomy and now has an ileostomy bag. He said his stool has turned milky and whitish. Is this normal? His surgery was recent and is undergoing treatment with Octreotide injections right now for a Chylous leak following his surgery.

Well come to HCM
Thank for asking
Your concern being appreciated, milky or whitish stool may not be normal one but it could be due to diet taken if not associate with any symptoms like abdomen pain, vomiting watery diarrhea, fatigue or fever, but as the surgical and medical history is given here it could be due to that, such case complete evaluation to find out the cause of change of color of stool hope this information helps.
