Components of Lipid Profile.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

- HDL: is a High Density Lipoprotein. Which is considered as good cholesterol. It removes and transport cholesterol from blood vessels to liver and prevent deposition.
It should be more than 40mg/dl in male and more than 50mg/dl in female.

- LDL: is a low Lipoprotein. Which is a bad cholesterol. It is responsible for deposition of cholesterol in blood vessels causing blockages.
It is classified as
< 100 : Optimal
100 to 129 : Near optimal
