Question: or should I start to trying to gradually take tab.Limotrigine and reduce dicorate accordingly. please I request u Sir to recommend me as your good self is MD DM (NEUROLOGIST)
Brief Answer:
Not even lamotrigine.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.
No! Even lamotrigine should not be substituted. Lamotrigine is also an antiepileptic medicine.
Rather,I would suggest to have a trial of amitriptyline 10 mg at bedtime everyday.
This will help combat depression as well as primary headache associated with it.
If you have any further queries,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

Brief Answer:
Dicorate interactions are not as well recognised as Lithium's.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.
Its because Dicorate may cause only mild interactions with thyroid hormones, that too in a small number of patients. It has more chances to do no harm in an individual.
However,Lithium's interactions with thyroid are well established from older times and may be of severe degree.
So,I can't suggest you to stop Dicorate ER.Instead,I am just saying to monitor thyroid functions.
