what is the lethal dose for a 60 kg human.
And the swallowing of propofol is also dangerous? if swallowed, will it enter the blood stream?
Brief Answer:
The clinical scenario needs to be correlated.
Detailed Answer:
I mean no offence, but could you specify the reason for asking this question. Unless you want to kill a person using propofol the only other possibility is that someone has been exposed to propofol and you want to know about the outcome. It would really help if you could explain the situation and based on that I would surely guide you further.

recently one of my friend who worked as medical representative had attempted suicide used this drug by injecting and swallowing 3vials of 20ml bottles. unfortunately he passed away. Thats why i am asking this question.
Brief Answer:
It is still a toxic overdose.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your clarification. I am sorry to hear about your loss. Each 20 ml vial of propofol contains 200mg of the drug. So, your friend should have received 600mg of propofol. Although for a 60 kg person the lethal dose should be something around 900mg, a dose of 600mg is still a toxic overdose (with the standard dose being 2 to 2.5 mg/kg) and should have been enough to have shut down his vital systems. Even if he would have managed to survive, his internal systems would have been quite messed up.
