It was a heart attack a few years ago with blown sa node?
Brief Answer:
he will be fine.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
He probably had myocardial infarction with a sinus node dysfunction. There is no reason to believe that he will be troubled. A pace maker will take care of the sinus nodal function and heart drugs (i guess he must be on them) will take care of the lateral wall functioning.
Heart is known to be a sensitive organ, but in fact, it is a tough one. Heart can survive even if 50% of its muscle is damaged.
So, if he is in regular consultation with a cardiologist, and is using drugs carefully, he should be fine and is going to live long.
Hope, I am clear.
