Question: For abortion less than 6 weeks, what is suggested dosage of Misoprostol (200mg x 2) or (200mg x 4) after 48 hours of taking Mifepristone (200mg). I had only spotting after 3 hours of taking Prestakind (200mg x 2). Is it OK or not?

Hello,
Thanks for your query.
First and foremost thing is a question that:-
Are the medicines you are taking to abort prescribed by a Gynaecologist or not? The medical community is more worried about the unauthorized abortion done by quacks and pharmacists are leading to unnecessary complications.
If yes to my question, Mifeprestone -200mg and then followed by two tablets of Prestakind 200mg recommended by your doctor is correct.
Since you started to spot it can be observed till a proper bleeding starts. Generally it takes 6-8 hours after the medicine you have taken. The bleed contains the products of pregnancy. Observe for this as well.
If in any case you do not get bleeding after 12 hours of Prestakind you will have to consult your prescribing doctor for further care and management.
Conclusion-IF IT HAS BEEN PRESCRIBED BY YOUR GYNAECOLOGIST THEN IT IS OK.
Hope this answer is helpful.
Please accept this answer if you don't have any further queries.
Take care.
