Where Is The Lymph Drainage For Right Front Quadrant Of The Head?
As below:
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. The lymph drainage of this area is to the superficial groups of lymph nodes in the face, such as the pre-auricular, parotid, submaxillary, buccal) and then further on tho the upper deep cervical lymph nodes (Level II).
2. If an atypical drainage pattern is suspected (and now will also occur due to the removal of the pre-auricular lymph nodes), these imaging modalities will help:
a. USG (Ultrasound) neck with Doppler Study.
b. Screening CT / MRI Scan with contrast if necessary.
c. PET Scan
3. This imaging along with the scar biopsy can help in identifying the Sentinel Node for Biopsy. Further treatment will be based on the biopsy result.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
