Which Fruits To Avoid While Taking Seroquel?
Brief Answer:
Green tea should be avoided
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. Grape fruit increases the amount of Seroquel in blood and thus might increase the risk of side effects, this is the reason it should be avoided with Seroquel. Though other detailed studies are not available but you can use common fruits without any worries. There are no significant interactions.
Green tea extract is found to reduce the amount of drug in blood and thus increase the metabolism, so this should be avoided in excess amount while on quetiapine.
Thanks, Hope this helps you. Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts.
