
Which Specialist Should I Consult For Anal Fistula?

Question: Hi i think i have early signs of anal fistula...there is a red wound in between my butt cheeks near my anus.the anal areal had been itchy for months but i thought it was something else.ther has not been any pus discharge or anything.what do i do to prevent it Which doctor should i go to??

I checked the picture. It appears to be an ulcer it is not clear whether it has deeper extension inside leading to a fistulous tract. This happens with scratching the area too often as well. So it is quite not clear now. It needs examination of the area.
These kind of problems are better deal by surgeons. You may see one in your area.

It is true that i had scrached the irritated area. I thought it was because of hair or may b lack of shower when i was travelling. There is no pain or discomfort.just itchyfeeling
Do u think i shld wait a few days if it heals or go to a doctor?...what type of doctor do i go to? Skin or general physician first??
