White Lumps Under Tongue Looking Like Teeth. What Could It Be?
Exam, mouth exam, biopsy, X XXXXXXX or Ct scan / based
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,
It might be necessary to get this lump examined. You will need to be very sure if this is the very first time you are noticing it or not.
The lump could simply be benign or maybe malignant. It is important to know if the mass bleeds easily or not. A simple fungal infection, usually due to Candida could present itself as a white mass. Treatment with anti fungal drugs (Ketoconazole, Fluconazole) can be sufficient.
Observing the throat also to see if its ok or not is important. In case of fungal infection or a fungal mass, similar whitish lesions can also be observed at the level of the throat.
Smoking for a long time is a risk factor for oral cancer. Depending on the case and results of physical examination, a biopsy of the mass or an X ray/Ct scan could be sufficient.
I suggest you consult an ENT specialist for a proper clinical evaluation and care. Please feel free asking further questions in case you have specific concerns. Thanks and kind regards.
