Why Am I Feeling Pain And Tingling Sensation In Wrist And Arm?
Thank you for the query.
If your pain spreads only to thumb, index, long and radial half of the ring finger you might be suffering from radial nerve in the carpal tunnel. You can perform a simple test that will rule it out. Try to flex your wrist gently as much as possible and wait for about 60 seconds. If your pain will increase and some numbness will occur, this is carpal tunnel syndrome. If not, your symptoms are probably caused by cervical spine diseases causing cervical nerves compression. In this case, headaches and back pains may associate with your symptoms.
To verify carpal tunnel syndrome electromyography and nerve conduction velocity should be performed. If your symptoms comes from spinal cord, MRI should be performed.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
