Why Did I Have Pain In Arms And Chest Lasting 15 Minutes After Lunch?
Thanks for posting your query. The pain that you have described is suggestive of unstable angina which is a condition in which your heart doesn't get enough blood flow and oxygen. It may be a prelude to a heart attack.
You are already having the risk factors for the same (age, preexisting cardiac condition, atherosclerosis).
The symptoms are typical of unstable angina and include sudden tightness of chest and arms which may last for 15-20 minutes and occurs without cause. Hence it is better to consult at Emergency Room. A preliminary ECG is recommended at this instance. You may subsequently need an Angiography to find out the degree of obstruction in the coronaries. Further management will depend on the angiography report.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
