What Causes Swollen Lymph On Near TMJ?
e a swollen lymph node near my TMJ on my left check. Is that normal?
Could be Infected pre-auricular lymph node/parotid
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting the query
According to the description provided by you, I do feel, you could be having a pre-auricular lymph node secondary to the infection in the surrounding region. The other probable cause could be an enlarged parotid gland.
If it is a pre-auricular lymph node, then you don't have to worry. With the present set of antibiotics, the lymph node will reduce automatically. If there is any skin infection (such as boil, acne) in the surrounding region or inflammation in the external ear canal, it has to be addressed first.
Hope this answer has been helpful to you. I will be available for the follow-up queries.
