1 Year Old Child, Having Greenish, Yellow Motion, Loose Stools. Taking Norflox, Zinc Gluconate. Pus Cells Seen In Stool Test. Treatment?

pus cell 0-3hpf is present in my 1 year old baby , he is having greenish colour some time yellowish , loose motion for 5 days , mucus is also can be seen in his stool can any one suggest me what is the normal range of puss cell in stool and what food can be given to him , doctor has given norflox and zinc gluconate . can anyone suggest me second opinion

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Greenish color of the stool indicates that there is increased bowel motility. You need not worry about that.

Please monitor your kid for signs of dehydration whenever he has loose stool.

The signs of dehydration are...
1. dry mouth
2. Increased thirst.
3. Decreased urination.
4. Irritability or lethargy
5. Sunken eyes
6. Decreased skin turgor
