10 Years Old, Headaches, Head And Forehead Tender, Runny Nose, Sinus Inflammation, Face Bone Sore. Reason?
hi, my daughter, 10 years old, complains of headaches for the last few days. she had similar episodes before. the headache is situated mainly on the top of the head, but her whole head is tender and sore to the touch, including her forehead . she had runny nose for a few days, can it be related? her face bones are not sore, as usually in the case of sinus inflammation. thanks
she is having sinusitis of frontal sinus. it is due to loss of aeration in the sinus due to block anywhere in the way.like in the eustachiun tube or in the draining channels of the sinuses in the nose.
Hello...
Symptoms towards diagnosis of sinusitis,
You should get her evaluated once for her complaint to get her examined physically by a pediatrician.
It’s needed:
1. Antibiotic
2. Decongestant nasal drops
3. Topical Steroid nasal drops, if the allergy component is cause.
If medical treatment fails, get an ENT referral as the child may need investigation , Interventions like antral lavage, or adenoidectomy
I would advise:
1. Stem inhalation (plain water)
2. Avoid cold drinks etc.
3. Warm water gargle every morning
4. Til oil massage & apply warm, moist woolen cloth every morning and bed time.
You can get back to me with the progress in case u need further suggestions
Thanks
“I wish your baby get well soon”
