Having Sinus Infection. Having Chest Congestion, Runny Nose, Headache, Cough. Have Tumour Above Eye. Sinus Inflammation?
ive had what appears to be a sinus infection for a week or so now.. large amounts of yellow/green mucus and chest and sinus congestion, sinus headaches , cough/runny nose , etc. i went to the school infirmary two days ago and was told i had a cold and reluctantly given antibiotics. no progress seems to be made and the symptoms are just as bad. i also woke up yesterday with pink eye in my left eye (large amounts of mucus discharged/swelling/etc). i now have a small lump that is painful to the touch above my right eyebrow.. can the lump be caused by the sinus inflammation or is it more likely to be the severe scenario of potts puffy tumor?

First of all let me complement you on your technical and medical knowledge! you seem to know a lot of things which makes our jobs easier most of the times! Just a few more things:
1. If your symptoms are persisting and you do not have much relief then you must either go for a stronger antibiotic and pain killer along with anti histamines and anti infllamatory or consider starting injectables for better and faster relief
2. You need to consult an ENT who will anyway take a endoscopy and CT to confirm on the swelling above your eyelid which you rightly assumed can be due to the sinusitis.
3. Take steam inhalation for faster relief of symptoms and take only warm fluids and nothing cold (avoid head bath for a few days too)
take care and do not worry it is unlikely to be a tumour
