i am 11 weeks pregnant and about a month before i found out i was pregnant i felt when i was swallowing i had something caught in my throat . So went to the doctor and she said she could only see what looked like a small cyst on the back of my throat and it should go away! Now i looked a couple days ago down my throat with a flash light and i have what im guessing in a cyst hanging right beside my uvula is this normal?
Hello
Welcome in H.C.M. for consulting.
I have gone through your query regarding small cystic lump in throat behind the uvula. I suspect that you are having Antrochoanal Polyp. This polyp arises from maxillary sinus and passes through nasal cavity to throat where it hangs behind the uvula. Since you are pregnant so to avoid hazards of radiation of x-ray I would like to suggest you to consult an E.N.T.specialist for examination of nose and throat to find out the reality of this cystic lesion.
With Regards.
