11 Year Daughter, Rash On Neck, Torso And Back. Worn New Swim Suit, Rashes Where Suit Touches Body. Applied Calaclear Lotion. Suggestions?

I have an eleven year old daughter who has a rash that appeared within the past 24 hours. It is raised red bumps on her neck, upper torso & back. Has almost no itching. I applied Calaclear lotion after showers last night & today which has shown little effect. She has worn a newer swim suit which I have discovered contains polyester. The rash seems to be where the suit touches her body. Should I try an over the counter like Benadryl & should it be oral or topical?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

The child looks having allergic skin reaction to the swim suite material.

You can continue applying the calaclear lotion externally over the rash thrice daily.

You can give her Benadryl or cetrizine orally in prescribed dose.

Consult the doctor if the rash is not subsided within 24 hours of onset.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
