13 Year Old Having Blackish Brown Patch On Neck And Armpits. Is This Acanthosis Nigarosis?

Hello, My daughter who is a 13 y/o has a blackish brown patch on the back of her neck a couple of weeks ago. We have notice that is has went all the way around her neck and her arm pits. She is also have memory loss and some headaches.
We think its acanthosis nigarosis (I think that is spelled right).

It is very difficult to comment on the lesion without having a physical examination of the same. Please get your daughter examined by a paediatrician to arrive at a diagnosis.
