13 Year Old, Several Raised Lesions On Torso, Waist And Abdomen. Swimming Daily. Cause Of Lesions?

My 13 year old grandson has several raised red lesions on his torso...one is particularly large about the size of a silver dollar near his waist. Another is more rectangular shaped on his abdomen.... They do not seem to bother him as far as itching and may be responding to hydrocortisone cream... Do you have any idea ... He does not have a history of eczema .....He is a swimmer and in the water everyday..... thank-you

hi..
the description of the lesion you are giving, could be a fungal infection.. tinea infection..
hydrocortisone should not be applied on such lesions, because it will change the clinical picture and makes it difficult to diagnose, tinea incognito..
see your dermatologist for the examination and diagnosis..
all the very best..
