15 Year Daughter, Suffering From Cough For 2 Weeks. What Could Be This?

My 15 year old daughter has had a cough for a couple of weeks. She has not felt sick, had a fever, etc. It has not effected her activities. It is a productive cough. when she went to bed this evening she started coughing enough that she threw up. This happened a couple of times. I am wondering if this is something I should take her in tonight, and if not, what I can do to make her more comfortable.

Hi it appears that it would be due to uviitis, means the enlargement of the uvula, the part at the posterior end of the throat. By touching the sensitive posterior wall of the pharynx cough is produced, while on bed the cough will be more due to touch.
The main aim of treatment is the gargling with salt in luke warm water. Other drugs i prescribe to my patients is erythrocin, decongestants, and anti histamin. Thank you.
