15 Yr Old Has Been Vomiting Off And On, Blood Urine, Stomach , Esophagus Reports Normal. Why ?
Hi, My 15 yr.old granddaughter is in the hospital in Amarillo, TX. She has been vomiting off and on since the week before Christmas, but the last week it s been sever. They did a scope of her stomach and esophagus and found nothing wrong. They did blood work and urinalysis and found nothing. Is she too young to have gall stones? The doctor in Amarillo said there s nothing wrong with her gall bladder and refused to run the sonogram on it. They are leaving her there for the day as the doctor doesn t make round until late afternoon. AAAAAAAAA
She is not too young for gall bladder disease as this occurs in younger and younger children, even under 10. A sonogram of her gall bladder would likely reveal any thickening or stones but the definitive test is called a Hida scan so if there is any doubt about the sonogram then that is the next step.
