17 Days Old Child Crying After First Water Bath, Also Passing Wind With No Relief From Colimex Drops?

Hi, my baby is 17 days old. He is crying a lot from today afternoon. Today he was given his first water bath. He is also passing wind. We are not sure if it is a trauma after the bath or a colic pain. We have given him 5 drops colimex-DF nearly 4 hours ago. But still he is uncomfortable. Please help.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Excessive cry in babies could be because of several causes. It could be because of trauma, insect bite, colic, infections etc. Some of the causes could be serious like meningitis. Some times it could be a very minor cause.
Physical examination is necessary to identify the cause. Each and every system should be examined thoroughly to identify the cause.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
